Member for Pittwater Rory Amon joined with members of the Narrabeen Sports High School community for the official opening of four new science labs.

The labs were completed as a part of the $20 million provided for various vital renovations across the school. These renovations include significant improvements to several classrooms, bathrooms, roofs, and outdoor areas.

“Thanks to the efforts of the Cameron McDonald, Head of Science, the science faculty and the phenomenal contractors, science students at Narrabeen will now enjoy a world-class learning environment. Designed collaboratively, there has been so much thought put into these labs to ensure they provide the maximum benefit to students,” said Mr Amon.

The opening was an important opportunity for celebration, marking a significant milestone in the school community’s campaign for essential upgrades to various parts of the school. These efforts have been driven by Principal, Heidi Currie, P&C President, James Wiggins, and P&C Secretary, Peter McDonald.

“Thanks to the advocacy of Heidi Currie and the fantastic P&C team, these science labs are one of many exciting projects happening right now at Narrabeen Sports High School. But while there is much to look forward to with these upgrades, there is still more to be done. I look forward to working with the State Government to ensure all necessary works receive sufficient funding,” said Mr Amon.
